Welcome to the Colchester Food and Drink Festival. The festival is now in it’s 5th year and fast becoming both a regional and national event.

The Colchester Food and Drink Festival is a great day out for anyone who likes food or gardens. You will find only the very best of UK and international food here. It is a true festival with lots going on to entertain the visitor, not just a collection of stalls. Music has always been a major part of the Festival including brass bands and Samba. Celebrity guests will be there.

This year’s Festival sees the event double in size to include gardening and flower show. We feature in Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s diary and on national web sites.

This year we have BBC Essex broadcasting live from the show on saturday and a BBC 'Gardeners question time' in the afternoon SGR Radio will also be broadcasting live from the whole show and hosting the 'Sausage Sizzle' competition.

On sunday the event will host a tribute to our local veterans and there will be music from The Paratroop Regimental Band and the Tilbury Brass Band.

The Festival includes the Colchester Rose Show which has been very well received by public and exhibitors alike. In 2008 we are expanding this section to include plants and gardening. All this means more fun for more people.
